This Calathea is often called the Rattlesnake Plant for the patterning on its leaves. Like other calathea, it prefers higher humidity levels and moist soil. Inadequate watering can lead to the leaves drying out. Increase the humidty by putting it next to a humidifier, or on a pebble tray with water so the plant sits above, but not in, the water.
