Sanseveria are a great beginner-friendly houseplant and are often called Snake Plants or Mother-in-Laws Tongue due to the sharp, upward pointing leaves. Sans. Superba has shorter, wider leaves than some other varieties, but is still low-maintence and easy to care for, requiring a little water every two weeks or so.
