The Holiday Cactus is often marketed as the Christmas or Thanksgiving Cactus because of the plants tendency to flower during this time due to the cooler temperatures and shorter days. While called "cactus", this plant is actually tropical and prefers regular watering, but can tolerate being slightly underwatered.
